Minneapolis Dance Studio MPLS Dance Lessons

Mikael Rudolph

Mikael Rudolph recently passed away. He will be sorely missed both here at Four Seasons Dance as well as in the dance community at large.

Mikael has been teaching partner dancing locally for over a decade. He is a former professional American Smooth Dance competitor and has performed as a Viennese Waltz dancer with the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra and at Peavey Plaza for Sommerfest.

As a swing dancer he has performed onstage with "A Prairie Companion" at The Northrup Auditorium, on television for a Minnesota Twins commercial and won "Best Supporting Actor" at the Unique Dance-O-Rama competition.

Also a renowned mime artist and actor, Mikael lived in Minneapolis with his two cats, Louie (Prima) and Ash - masters of the four-step.

"I try to make lessons as fun as possible for my students, but am committed to teaching the best possible technique in the shortest amount of time. Anyone can learn multiple steps in a lesson and do them badly forever, but a student who learns the 'how and why' of footwork, leg action, posture, frame, connection, contra-body, line & form, etc. has the foundation to feel and look good dancing for the rest of their lives." -- Mikael Rudolph
